I made it to Dallas Mardi Gras, and it was hilarious!

Oak Cliff Mardi Gras was a surprising family-friendly.

There were no skimpy Brazilian-style carnival costumes, and plenty of small children in the parade. Some of the teenagers in the parade got a little carried away with the bead throwing though. I almost got pelted a few times.

It was still a fun event and also my first time in the Oak Cliff neighborhood this year (it’s on the other end of Dallas from the gayborhood.)
