The Minnesota Veterans’ Home has been on my “to see” list for a while now. I’m a sucker for historic buildings.
The buildings were nice, but more impressive from a distance.
The Veterans’ home is on a bluff overlooking the Mississippi river near the Ford damn.
There were also some canoers really close to the dam. Alesus said it was suicidal, but they appeared fine.
I’m also not sure if I’d want to live in that condo tower near the dam and the bridge. I’m not sure that the view is worth the noise.

September 15, 2010 at 3:08 pmI think the problem with a lot of Minneapolis’ buildings is that they look regal and historic on the house and absolutely dilapidated on the inside. I think dust and lead paint when I look at these.
