Three trips to Ikea

I am exhausted. I spent the majority of the today driving around town buying things for a redesign of my second bedroom. I went to Wal-Mart, Home Depot, two Targets, and made three trips to Ikea.

Yes, three trips to Ikea.

On the first trip I bought a huge mirror and plants, so I couldn’t carry much else. I still needed a futon cover, but I figured that I could get that from Wal-Mart or Target.

Wal-Mart and Target had an underwhelming selection, so I went back to Ikea and bought the futon cover and lamps. I didn’t realize that I bought the wrong light bulbs for these lamps until I went home, so I drove back to Ikea because by this time the local Ace Hardware was closed.

The third trip was a hot mess. I was so exhausted that I couldn’t figure out where the proper light bulbs were. I roamed the lamp room and couldn’t find the bulbs or a salesperson. I became annoyed and ended up snatching two light bulb packets from a wall display.

An Ikea worker materialized right after I took the bulbs. I told her that I couldn’t find any of the Sparsam bulbs and therefore maimed her display. She pointed to a box right under the display…of the right bulbs.

I felt like a douchecanoe and fled home. At least I have working lamps now.
