So it is officially hotter in Minneapolis than it is in Miami. Summer is here, the neighborhood looks lush, and my freshness is compromised.
The dogs were extremely expensive this week. I had to buy Gertrude a new kennel and Harley is completely jealous. He sulks around the house now.
Sadly, I am in too much pain to care about this dog’s drama. I started a personal training program at one of the Uptown gyms and I am so freaking sore.
Trainer: “PUSH IT!”
Me: “Meep.”
Trainer: “See your muscles are starting to shake. That’s great! We breaking them down! ONE MORE! I WANNA SEE THE TWITCH!”
This week will be my first official week of ass-crack-of-dawn torture workout sessions. It should be interesting.
Other highlights of the past week were the “Run the World” dancing sessions with the neighbors at Jetset bar and the Gay 90’s, and Sequin Sundays, our new favorite drag show:
Yes.
In addition to finding a new favorite drag show, I also found a new favorite restaurant. There’s a Vietnamese Restaurant over on Eat Street called Pho Tau Bay, and it is worth the visit just for the display case.
I know. That should totally be my phone wallpaper. But Jessica Simpson still reigns supreme over this phone. And yes. I’m serious.

Before I moved away from Minneapolis I used to eat at Pho Tau Bay twice a month; it was one of my favorite places to go. Since moving to San Diego I am searching for good pho in an area here known as Little Saigon. I have many restaurants to get through yet.
