The temperature leapt over the 100 degree mark. I expected Lake of the Isles to boil.
I almost broke down and bought an AC unit, but every unit under $500 was sold out within a 50 mile radius. I was glad that I did not buy the unit though because my sublevel apartment did not get above 80 degrees during the heat wave. FTW!
A subsequent thunderstorm cooled things down considerably in the afternoon and even took out a few trees.
