Besides this week’s Microsoft Store drama, things were profoundly uneventful this week. I now know why middle aged people are fat – all I want to do after work is drive home, walk the dogs, eat fattening things, and go to bed. That’s all.
It’s terribly frumpy but I do not care.
On the weekends I want to stay home and watch more TV, eat fattening things, and play Civilization V, which is like an 8-hour version of Risk. That’s it.
I mean, I do go to things. Really. I do. I recently went to the MCAD gala, Jetset Bar and Katie Shoop‘s super fancy Playboy Club preview party at the W Hotel’s Prohibition Bar. Isn’t that enough? I showered, dressed up and smized! Can’t I be a sloth for the next month? I totally need to mop the floor of our apartment and do laundry. I’ll see you in Decemember.
I think my new apartment is the biggest factor in my newfound laziness because I have not lived in a nice place since high school. I stayed in claustrophobic cinderblock dorms throughout college, then a decrepit law school frat house and then a mouse infested apartment building. It’s easy to go out and be fabulous when your home is gross.
This is the first time that I feel comfortable lounging around a place in about 7 years. So please excuse my frump. It’s justified.

September 28, 2011 at 9:14 pmI just made the connection that I partied in your old decrepit law school frat a couple weeks ago. I felt like I was 19 again!
