Halloween may have been a bust this year, but the High Heel Race was as fabulous as ever. I attended a hilarious house party, saw some great costumes, and got to meet some very interesting people.
I think the timing of the High Heel race helped suck some of the energy out of Halloween — the weekend was a bit too far from the actual date, and the race was the day before Halloween. People probably didn’t know where to focus their energy, dampening everything.
However, some of these costumes were clearly well thought-out. I don’t want to even guess what these people spent.
I don’t know if I’ll ever participate in the High Heel Race beyond being a mere spectator — particularly after all of the sprained ankles people complained about the next day — however I am more than happy to attend and support. 💃🏻
