Puppachinos

Ingrid and Gunter at Starbucks

Aka, “Why my dogs love Starbucks”

One morning I noticed a woman exit Starbucks and give her yippy dog a small cup of whip cream.

Apparently this is a “secret menu item” called a “Puppucino.” Some Starbucks locations insist that you use that cheesy name when ordering, but most baristas just look at me crazy when I ask for one.

So it’s a thing, sort of.

I am not sure if dogs should be eating whip cream.

The dogs aren’t allergic to the whip cream, and this is the only thing that we feed the dogs besides dry food and biscuits….so I’m going to assume that Puppucinos are not the worst thing in the world.

Plus Puppucinos are free.

However, we are making a strong effort to not get Puppucinos every time that we visit Starbucks, lest the dogs start getting entitled. At any rate, this is a way cheaper option than regular dog treats, and Puppucinos haven’t given them the shits yet. (Which is how dog treats are measured around here.)

Now if there was only a way to make sure that the dogs finish their Puppucinos at the same time…
