And so I ended the weekend roasting hot dogs on the shore of Lake Superior and staring at the stars with the Rottweiler. The Bullmastiff and boyfriend are asleep.
This is the perfect way to end the two most hectic weeks of the summer. I spent the majority of my time working, moving to my new apartment and cleaning my old rodent infested building. I was diseased for a few days but managed to get all of my work and moving done on time. My first world problems are intense.
This weekend reminded me of my luck and perseverance – there are so many kids that I went to school with that are working for minimum wage while supporting families, in jail, or slaving away at jobs they don’t like.
All I have to worry about are my crazy-ass dogs, Starbucks addicted boyfriend, and my job at an amazing corporation. I figure that if my most pressing concern right now is the fly bites on the beach then life is pretty good.
