What a lovely two weeks. Fall was extended this year so Minneapolis still has temperatures in the 50’s and 60’s. The colors are amazing and the morning dog walks have become sprawling two-hour events because it is so nice outside.

Dunn Brothers is a common stop on our morning dog walks. The dogs are incredibly patient.
I love that New England is buried under feet of snow and it’s in the 60’s in Minneapolis. This extended fall is gorgeous.
Well! This was a rather successful Halloween. I decided to decorate the house because this was my first year giving out candy. These $5 window-hangs did the trick, although they were way more gruesome than I expected.
We went out the night before. I was a zombie lesbian soccer player. Tader was a runner who had been hit by a car. I think my costume was a little grosser.
I always loved exploring odd parts of downtown Miami. The tradition continues in Minneapolis, but at least it’s not as creepy now that I have dogs.
The DMV is not actually a DMV, but a generic county service center. That means that the lines are especially long because people are there for a variety of reasons.
I took the driving test a few years ago when I was still a law student. I passed the test, but couldn’t get a driver’s license because my passport did not have the requisite stamp in it. I came back today armed with my permanent resident card, passed the test and got… well, a piece of paper.
Sigh. Everyone’s crabby today.
I’m not sure if I just started noticing local news billboards, but there’s a theme here:
New condos are everywhere around downtown and interest rates are low, but I’m not convinced. Would I really want a condo by the mills?
I almost didn’t take the dogs to the Minnehaha dog park because it started raining, but I know they love it too much to pass it up.
I went to middle school in Kansas. We had no air conditioning and plenty of girls with cheap weave that constantly fell out. The weave formed balls that traveled the hallway floors every time the doors were propped open for ventilation. We called this tumble weave.
I am glad that Minneapolis carries on that tradition.
Sigh. Naomi and I get into so much trouble downtown.
We finally went to Lake Minnetonka just in time for the last of the fall colors.
Okay, so this is the best picture I could get from my car. Ignore the freaked out cyclist.
We decided to finally paint our bedroom. It was a rather long process.
I decided to skip the dog park today and took the dogs on a road trip to Rochester, Minnesota.
This was my first time in Rochester and the trip gave me flashbacks to my years in Kansas.
It’s fall in Minneapolis again and I love living in a place that has four seasons.
Why some buildings get preserved is beyond me.
