Grasshoppers!
So you are not taking my advice! You are coming to law school. You are starting blawgs. You have “JD” in your twitter usernames (we will address that later) and you are tweeting and emailing plenty of questions.
Let me point you to a few places for your pre-law reading pleasure:
- Wish I would have known: a collection of law school advice from students.
- And for a taste of law school from the trenches, look at the weekly law school roundups at Legal Underground and But No Thanks. There is also a “Moms in the legal profession” roundup and plenty of others that I’m unaware of.
- And ladies, it is never too early to get your law school wardrobe ready. Huma has all your law school fashion needs covered.
There are some advice posts from this site:
- 1L frequently asked questions
- 5 tips for 0Ls
- Law School Advice
- Please don’t drop out…
- Blawging & Casual relationships
- Not-so-hopeful exam advice…
Happy reading. I still think you should run (avoid the debt and anguish!) but if you insist on doing this law school thing, the law school blawg clique (see links to the left) will take care of you.

March 9, 2010 at 12:46 pmThere was a girl today, a 1L, wearing black leggings under an ugly black cropped sweater with black converses. I WANTED TO SMACK HER IN THE HEAD WITH HER CRIMLAW BOOK. And I wanted you to be in Chicago so you could assist me.
Then I saw another girl in black leggings, a tunic top and grey Uggs, and I gave up on life and just took some pills and now everything is really bouncy and paranoid.

March 9, 2010 at 11:51 pmThe 1Ls at my school are rather…interesting as well. The biggest problem we have is the handful of girls with platinum and dark roots… ugh.

March 10, 2010 at 6:06 pmJust exactly what is going on with that??? Bleach, I tell you, these women got into BLEACH.
My roots are from not having money to cover up what the sun does in summer.
