The University of Miami has gone through some major renovations since the last time I visited.
The cell-block dorm towers are still there, as is the law school and library, however there is a brand new student center, a hospital, and the dumpy student dive bar is now a gorgeous multistory restaurant.

Visiting the school reminded me of how little connection I have with it.
I remember running into alumni when I was in college — those 30-something tourists who I thought were so strange and old. They would roam campus remarking how much things had changed. Now I’m that random 30-something tourist getting stared at by current students as if I’m a dinosaur.
It was an interesting visit, but I was glad to leave the memories, and the stares behind. 🌴
