I like the improvised slip covers. Before I get another dog, I’ll use slip covers or get leather couches. It’s like living in a snow globe with the dogs. Getting hair out of the fabric in a couch is almost impossible.
I have two approaches: I have an ikea couch with a removable-washable slip cover, and a futon (pictured above) with an bedsheet as the slipcover. I wouldn’t do leather because it’s easy for them to scratch up.
I’m glad I’m not the only one that hopes kids respond like dogs do 🙂 Caesar, my pup still has his “home” aka his cage and when I was studying for finals and could just tell him to go home when he got to rowdy…I wondered if it would be socially acceptable to do that with children 😉
