The dog’s shedding.
For the past few days I’ve found little tumble-weeds of dog hair all over the apartment. I expected that cacti and cowboy shootouts to materialize any moment…
When I got home today there was a little mound of hair near Harley’s kennel and I had had it.
I looked at the dog and informed him it was on.
So a few minutes later I was wrestling a 100lb dog into the bathtub…and Harley got his first-ever bath.
So yeah. He was not thrilled.
But I’m glad I did it because:
I know. Ew.
But better in the tub than all over the apartment!

June 20, 2009 at 12:13 amAw, he took it like a champ! I’m not sure what the going rate is in Minneapolis, but in Indianapolis my sister can get her dog bathed (plus nails trimmed and ears cleaned!) for only $20 at PetCo! (Or PetSmart, one of those). Apparently her dog smelled like a peppermint after he experience, and she highly recommends it!

June 20, 2009 at 1:03 pmOne of my pooches is going through a shedding phase right now. He’s got skin issues and keeps pulling tufts of hair out. Not conducive to a clean house for sure. Good thing he’s got loads of personality to make up for it.

June 20, 2009 at 9:58 pmI’m going to do the brush thing tonight! We’ll see how it goes! Milo is cute!
And I don’t know how I feel about the peppermint-smelling dog… peppermints always remind me of the toy cack video (the granny always says: “Today is a day for peppermints!”)
