Last year I went to the Twin Cities Pride Parade and I was thoroughly underwhelmed. I skipped the parade this year and went to Loring Park on Saturday and Sunday.
Saturday was muggy and drizzly, so the park wasn’t very busy.
The smaller crowds on Saturday were nice because we could explore the booths without getting trampled. The weather was better on Sunday and the park felt like a skittles-themed version of the Minnesota State Fair.
I almost took the dogs into the park on Sunday, but my Rottweiler was such a game killer. We walked near Loring Park and the Rottweiler took a dump every time that she saw a cute guy checking me out.
This happened seven times. Malicious bitch.
I don’t know what she ate to crap so much…good thing I brought a ton of bags. The only thing less cute than a 100-pound dog shitting in front of Mr. McDreamy is not picking up said-shit.
After dragging the dogs back home and I returned to the park sans-shit monster. I spent the majority of the second day in the park in the beer tent with law school friends. Afterward went to the Saloon Block Party and then the Gay 90s where we made it rain.
It was a hilarious end to a very long and expensive pride weekend. I took today off work so I could work out and catch up on sleep. Back to work and my 5 a.m. workouts tomorrow.
