The bike commuter

It is finally summer. You can find me outside.

I biked to work for the first time this year. The trip is 16 miles each way and a gorgeous ride.

I left my house at 7 a.m., which is way too late. By the time I got to the burbs I had to share the road with those almost-late people speeding to work. It was terrifying.

In fact, the speed-commuters were so terrify that I stopped at Freewheel bike on the way home and became a helmet owner. About time, right?

YES! Glad to hear you are protecting your investments (aka your brain cells).

It was totally peer pressure. I was one of the few people without a helmet that I saw while biking to Eagan.

Nice! Love to hear about someone starting down the bike commute path. 16 miles is a pretty long bike commute too. I have a slightly longer commute and found it too long to do every day all by bike. I didnt want to give up the exercise and great ride I got so I actually drive part way, keep a folding bikein my trunk and ride the last 8 miles.
