Spring in Dallas

Blooming trees in Dallas, Texas.

Every tree in the neighborhood decided to bloom this weekend, so I guess spring is finally here.

We are spending as much time as possible outside because there are only a few months left before Texas becomes hot as hell.

Spring is also my time for “digital cleaning.”

Over the year a bunch of digital crap piles up – blurry pictures, duplicate PDFs, unwanted mailing list subscriptions – I find it much easier to deal with the digital clutter in one swoop over the course of a morning.

I will also get into some real spring cleaning in the coming weeks because I’m moving into a new unit!

The building let us look at the unit a little early and baby, they have some work to do.

Nasty Apartment

Weird stains on the carpet of my new apartment.

A hole punched in the door of my new apartment.

A human tooth on the kitchen island.

Yes, that is a human tooth on the kitchen island.

I do not know why there is a human tooth…and I don’t think I want to know.

Needless to say, they are going to completely overhaul that apartment before we move in.

After an influx of ratchet new tenants, my building is rapidly evicting the worst offenders. It’s safe to say that the people who had apartment where thrown out. I’m highly curious what they are going to charge them.

Even though my new apartment looks rough right now, it is nowhere near the levels that I saw in Minneapolis:

That post is here.
