Book Burning, leering, and the Conga line: End of Semester festivities

On Friday Paige and I went to the Outlaw end-of-year bowling event. This is her striking:

Friday night Jamie and I had a movie night and watched Reservation Road and The Flock. I was shocked to see Avril Lavigne’s cameo in the latter.

Avril, of course, gets killed.

On Saturday Stella and I went to Mall of America and saw all sorts of awkward:

Stella’s favorite store is Forever 21. The mannequins are a case study in fug. Here’s one of the worst:

And yes, there’s video:

On the way back from Mall of America, strange men on the train kept staring at Stella. And not in that, “Oh, you’re pretty and I’m going to ogle” way, but like, “I’m raping you in my mind RIGHT NOW MMM SLOBBER SLOBBER!!”

One guy gave her a full 5-minute leer. Uck.

Later that night we went to Jean’s graduation party. As Stella and I got onto the bus I told her, “I apologize in advance. This bus is a ghetto hot mess every time I’m on it.”

And sure enough, halfway through the trip, a group of 14-year-old girls gets on the bus and sits behind us. After a brief discussion about marijuana, one says:
14y/o #1: “I’m visiting my baby daddy tonight. I’m taking the bus to [some suburb] and getting some d–k tonight!”
14y/o #2: Gurl I know, I’m fitna visit my cutie and get some of that d–k too!”
Stella shoots me a side-glance. I put on my hood because I’m laughing so hard.
Stella (whispering): “When she says ‘baby-daddy’ does she actually mean her baby’s daddy? Like father of her child? She’s like 14! People actually say that?”
I nod. Thoroughly amused.

We arrive fashionably late to the party. Jean and Jamie were already crunk for Jesus when we arrived – and yes I have that on tape.

So we had flipcup:

There was also some book burning going on:

Jean originally wanted to burn her backpack, but someone pointed out that burning a plastic backpack inside wasn’t a smart move… so they burned Jamie’s accounting book instead (I think Jean and Jamie took that class together…)

And the burning in action:

As the party progressed there was some dirty dancing…and a conga line:

And Stella’s strange fascination with the frog:

Whatever. Judge free zone…

Clerical purposes: this is Best Week Ever #14-16. No reason to do a recap because I blogged extensively throughout finals.
