My December Hits

Tinashe Player Music Video

1. Florence + The Machine – Delilah (The Odyssey – Chapter 6)

What hasn’t been said about Florence + The Machine? Her new album is everything.

How Big, How Blue, How Beautiful got me through my last breakup and the long road to Dallas.

There are so many great tracks on the album, but Delilah is definitely one of my favorites.

I didn’t know what to expect from this video, but a trip to a Los Angeles meth motel wasn’t one of them.

The song is chaotic, shrill, and a perfect way to start a wild evening. (I also really want to learn those dance moves!)

2. Kaleena Zanders – Hit the Dance Floor

I first heard of Kaleena Zanders after seeing her on a Madeaux track earlier this year.

This Teairra Mari lookalike has some serious pipes, which are perfect for the type of house music she typically performs.

“Hit the Dance Floor” is basically on repeat when I’m getting ready to go out on the weekends.

3. Tinashe – Player ft. Chris Brown

Every time that I worry about my All Hands On Deck girl disappearing, she reemerges with a new video.

This song takes a while to pick up, but it’s definitely worth it.

Also the dancing in the video is amazing!

4. Marcus Marr & Chet Faker – The Trouble With Us

I’ve been on a Chet Faker kick for a while now (remember Gold?).

His new collaborations with Marcus Marr are great working music.

The Marcus Marr collaborations are also a little less mopey than Chet Faker’s typical sound. It’s a welcome change.

5. Kat DeLuna – Bum Bum ft. Trey Songz

Yes, Kat DeLuna still has a record deal.
Somehow.

Although she came out around the same time as Rihanna, Kat DeLuna never really caught on as much RiRi. The video is thirsty and definitely NSFW, but the song is a catchy remake of Sister Nancy’s classic.
