Dallas got a Real Housewives treat this weekend – Erika Jayne performed at Brick nightclub!
The performance was everything that we imagined: Drag queens opened the show, and we even got a sneak peek at the Real Housewives of Dallas (including gay favorite, LeeAnne Locken!)

In addition to being the wife of one of my clients, Erika is a longtime supporter of the gay community (hence the tour of gay bars.)

The night ended on a dramatic note.
We did not stay around for a photo op with Erika because the line was ridiculously long. This meant that we got to beat the line to the BBQ food truck outside of the club (diet be damned).
Chaos erupted in the parking lot as we waited for our food – it appears that a couple got into a drunken fight, which ended with a guy kicking a car while screaming “IT’S OVER!”
Things only got worse on the way home.
Brick nightclub is walking distance from my apartment building, but it is off of the main strip of gay bars. Walking home from the club involves going under a shady overpass.
Although we did not get mugged under the highway, we did almost get assaulted by a drunk group of straight people. One girl was puking outside of her Uber, and her friends were pissed that we laughed at her.

Homegirl started screaming at us, and her male friends hopped out of the Uber to push us around. A quick 911 call got them to scram.
Maybe next time we’ll Uber it ourselves…
