Flamingo Pool Cocktails

Flamingo pool floaties

Amazon purchases at the pool are generally a bad life choice, but there are exceptions.

Last week we saw a guy with a flamingo beverage floatie at the pool. It was so campy that we had to buy some (because, adulting.) A quick Amazon search revealed that flamingo floaties are only $15 for a dozen, so the purchase was a no-brainer.

No one needs a flock of flamingo pool floaties.

Except us.

A 12-pack of pool floaties seemed excessive, but we’ve given many away to neighbors and the dogs have already destroyed a few. I think we might order a second 12-pack before the summer is over.

Flamingo cocktail recipe

The drink that I made to celebrate our (rapidly dwindling) flock of flamingo floaties is called “The Flamingo.” Because I am creative.

Here is what’s inside:

  • Ole Smoky moonshine
  • Fresh lime juice (squeezed)
  • Fresh peach juice (squeezed)
  • Topo Chico mineral water
  • Dasani strawberry-kiwi drops

The level of each ingredient varies depending your individual taste level. I recommend starting off with low amounts of moonshine and the Dasani flavor drops and adding more after tasting.
