Remember how this is my week of restful bliss? Hah. Well, Gertrude and Harley decided that 4:30 a.m. is the official morning dog-walk time. This isn’t going well.
Minneapolis had a heat wave this week. Temperatures climbed to the low 50’s. Roadways and sidewalks became visible. It didn’t hurt to be outside anymore – in short, it was gorgeous.
And then we got a President’s Day blizzard.
The snow is melting but I still have all these unedited snow-caked pictures! Excuse me while I toss them on the page for the record…
It’s all about Katy B right now. Actually, most of the top 20 songs for me right now are from England. Weird times.
Track list after the jump.
What a bizarre two weeks.
I had my normal schedule of work, class, lake trips, Jeset Bar dance-offs, and adventures around the metro:
Downtown Minneapolis is behind there, somewhere.
A gaggle of us went on the Summit Brewery tour in St. Paul.
I haven’t left the Twin Cities metro area in over a year.
Madre Jansen and I are plotting the next Miami-trip, but Halvers and I will probably take a trip to greater-Minnesota in the next few months.
Here are some pictures from my last trip to Greater Minnesota: Bemidji!
I think they are over the cold.
The morning dog walk was a disaster.
I load the dogs into the car and the radio informs me that the air temperate is -10 with a -25 wind chill.
I strolled into the Mall of America Barnes & Noble and stopped at the Nook e-reader desk.
A store clerk materialized and I drilled him with questions – is this 3G or wifi? How much memory does it have? How much space? Is it backlit? How does this compare with an iPad? Kindle?
The clerk explained that the Nook was for consuming content – magazines, books, etc. – and that the iPad was more useful for producing content.
The law school graduate-level electives outside of the law school. I’m enrolled in Weimar Cinema.
