The freeze, box, and keyboard

The morning dog walk was a disaster.

I load the dogs into the car and the radio informs me that the air temperate is -10 with a -25 wind chill.

We are on the lake for 15 minutes when both dogs stop and give me the “Bitch, please” glare. I am on the highway to work 20 minutes later.

A big honking box greets me at the office.

Apparently we have an in-house cube moving service. I call facilities and tell them that I feel ridiculous having someone move the four items at my desk. I’ll do it myself. I move cubes tomorrow.

I started interning during 1L spring. Every intern that I started with graduated and moved on to a different department or company. Some of the cubicles around me changed owners two or three times in the past two years. Now it’s my turn to go. This feels mighty real.

The night ended with my much-neglected APC40, and my new MPK mini keyboard. The MPK and APC40 fought last night, but seemed to work well together tonight. Maybe they just needed more time together?

Tomorrow’s project: fully mapping drums to the MPK pad.
