I came home from work, Gertrude was out of the kennel, and the floor was covered in blood.
Another trip to the vet, $230, a hospital stay, and a dozen tests later, the doctor tells me that stress induced a bacteria imbalance which causes the rottweiler to pee blood. Charming.
The only thing that’s keeping me from killing both of the dogs is the cuteness:

Hope she gets well soon!

March 21, 2010 at 6:40 pmI don’t think she would get along very well with our cat… someone would end up eaten, and I’m pretty sure it wouldn’t be Gertrude. Besides, she loves you and Harley! I won’t get in the middle of that! 🙂
Seriously, though– what do dogs have to stress out about? They’re not the ones in law school.

March 22, 2010 at 9:03 amI think she’s stressed about not being able to eat my phones and highlighters… she’s operating under a different set of priorities though.

March 22, 2010 at 10:28 amTrue. Kind of like how the cat gets really upset when we won’t let him eat packing tape. Oh, if only not being allowed to eat packing tape/highlighters/phones was the biggest stress-inducing thing in my life…
