End of 3L Fall

Book and notebook

My last full semester of law school ended with another snow storm.

I hunkered down at the Spyhouse and wrote my first legal history essay. I kept ordering tea refills as snow flew by the cafe windows. I skipped home after the first essay due to the amount of exasperated road-condition-related tweets lighting up my phone.

I started the second essay after shoveling and emailed both essays in around 10pm…and that was it.

I don’t know if I expected fireworks, a mariachi band, or what, but the end of the semester definitely felt anticlimactic. I didn’t have time to celebrate because the sidewalks needed another shoveling, the dogs needed walking, and the neighborhood promptly lost power once I returned to my apartment. Well then!

And the first day of winter vacation starts with post-storm rush hour traffic.

I have an interview for a volunteer position at the public defender’s office and then I skip down to the suburbs for work. Traffic will be a treat.

The extra car time just means that I get to catch up on MPR and BBC news, which is actually quite awesome. I’m ready for this break.
