Drag Brunch at Urban Cowboy Saloon

We made the trek to Fort Worth this weekend for drag brunch at Urban Cowboy Saloon.

Overall, it was a fun experience and a great show.

The theme was purportedly “Rocky Horror Picture Show” but the drag queens performed at many non-Rocky Horror songs. This probably kept the show more interesting for people unfamiliar with the movie.

Food service started at 1 p.m., which is a bit later than a typical brunch. Our bartender was also completely confused about the drink specials. However, the Urban Cowboy drag brunch show was far more entertaining than the Cedar Grove drag brunch in Dallas (and about half the price.)

After drag brunch, we went to the handful of other gay bars Fort Worth — Club Changes, Club Reflection, and 515.

Rainbow Lounge was strangely closed.

And as with any overlong Sunday Funday, someone lost something. This time the display of basicness was mine — I’m pretty sure that I left my glasses in our friends’ car on the way to Club Reflection.

They’ll probably turn up by our next brunch. 🥂

Update: True-to-form the glasses totally turned up! 👓
