New artwork is sprouting across the District lately, including here in Ivy City.
The latest mural is on the side of the abandoned school property that sits in the middle of the neighborhood. Like many other murals this year, this one is less abstract and has an overtly positive message. Maybe this is one of the things that will continue in the after-times.
Given the absence of other artwork around the school property, this mural is likely unauthorized. However, hopefully they keep it up — it’s much better than the bland wall that it replaced.🖌️
