What a bizarre two weeks.
I had my normal schedule of work, class, lake trips, Jeset Bar dance-offs, and adventures around the metro:
A cold front came in and I found out that the dogs lose their enthusiasm for lake-walks around -10 degrees.
Harley does not normally have that look of panic in his eyes for our morning dog walks. I swear.
The drag shows at the Townhouse were more amusing than usual. First, a host called out a rude guest, and then there was this:
Sashay! Shante! Jet-tay!
There was more music at home than in the club. I bought the Akai MPKmini keyboard one day after work and spent my evenings neglecting Halvers while working on basslines.
I made up for the boyfriend neglect on the weekends. Last weekend we went to the Mall of America and we started this Saturday by breakfasting among Catholic priests in St. Paul.
We then toured the Summit Brewery, lunched with Halver’s friends, and went to a liquor store in St. Paul called The Ale Jail:
It’s connected to a wine store called The Wine Thief. No, I’m not kidding. It was awesome. I may have splurged on some Kölsch.
I also ended my two-year internship this weekend. I start full-time in a new department on Monday and I am excited and amused, as always.
